This is comparable in quality to pretty much every pasta machine I've used, with the exception of automatic ones that ring in at 3X or more than this price point. The rollers are aluminum, the wooden handle turns freely on the crank, there are nonslip feet on the bottom of the base, and there are 9 thickness settings on the dough rolling knob. One note is that the clamp for the machine is shown in this pic fully tightened - so you will need a countertop that is about 2 inches thick, or to put a cutting board or something underneath to fully clamp to a thinner counter or tabletop.

I can't hold onto pasta machines, they get borrowed - then not returned.. So was delighted that Italic was offering (and for much less than I have previously bought)! 

Also, love that can make FRESH pasta and [a.] save BIG $ over 'fresh/refrigerated' pasta packages, which are $8-9/each, and [b.] can fill ravioli as wish (example: am crazy about spinach filling, but don't much like cheese). LOT of wins! :) 

Not best photo —  took pasta machine to a friend's and we secured to coffee table to watch TV in living room... imagine being invited to a friend's to view a flick, but only if bring new pasta machine with me (*note: I was SURE to bring home with me! ha)

A gift for any housewarming 

I used it for the first time (after purchasing for my partner as a Christmas/birthday gift). I've never made pasta before, but found the machine relatively simple to use. I did have to throw away an entire pasta nest due to machine lubricant, but I had planned for that. This will be my go-to housewarming/birthday gift for friends and family from now on. 

Excellent for novices

I bought this pasta maker for my best friend's birthday and she absolutely adores it! It's not only been a treat for her to use it, but for me too since she loves to make fresh pasta in our home frequently now. She said she feels super professional and this is coming from someone who took a professional pasta making course in Italy. 

BEST FRIEND LOVES HER BDAY GIFT

It's the only pasta machine I've ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's really fun to use and gets the job done. Sometimes not all the pasta gets cut through all the way but I don't mind.

Fresh Pasta!

I never realized how easy it was to make your own pasta. I got this as a Thank You Tuesday deal and gave it to my boyfriend as an anniversary gift since we love to cook together. I did need to look up directions online for how to use it because the ones included were lacking.

We've used it twice so far - once to make spaghetti and once to make green noodles for an Asian-style stir fry. Both times it turned out amazing. The machine itself is easy enough to use that my elementary schooler makes the pasta. She has fun doing it too!

Makes great pasta!

This one is almost a carbon copy of the name brand pasta maker. I've tried it out but haven't been too tough on it. Hopefully it holds up for years to come.  

The real deal! 

It took a couple of minutes for us to get the hang of it, but it became a really fun, albeit messy, way to make dinner.

Great pasta maker

This is the first time I’ve used a pasta machine. 1) please make sure to run a bit of pasta dough through each roller bit because there WILL be weird black stuff that comes out at first. 2) I had to separate the fettuccine by hand because the cutter didn’t do that in every line. Can’t tell if that’s normal or not. 3) the handle keeps falling out, and to the ground. I feel like I need to bring homemade pasta to my downstairs neighbors to apologize. 4) I made pasta! And it was easy! 

Overall, a great buy at this price, and I love having this available!

Perfect for the price. It’s smaller than I expected, but that works well if you need to save counter/pantry space. Love that it’s minimal parts and even includes a recipe/booklet. Worked wonderfully making fresh pasta. Word to the wise, spare some dough to clean out the rollers before you use it. There was a lot of debris and metal shavings in the first trial run. Do not skip this step! 

Perfect for Novice

Hefty, good weight to it. Can clamp to table to stay in place. We use it to mostly roll out sheets of dough.

Pasta Machine

Wasn't sure I'd love this product when buying it on sale, but the proof is in the pudding: we're making so much more pasta now. Now, to buy some Italic gym wear...

So great

The pasta machine itself works well. Comparable to other, slightly more expensive pasta machines that I've used (purchased on Amazon). However, the loose packaging was unexpected. I would not recommend purchasing this as a gift

Awesome and affordable 

As noted before - it's a great value for a pasta maker. Everything looks beautiful, but the instructions are lacking - I had to look online for instructions on how to use this machine. 

Looks nice - instructions lacking

I bought this as a gift for my dad and we used it together, so I was able to compare it to the Alta machine by Mercato that I use at home. The italic machine does not feel quite as sturdy to use as the Alta machine, but it cuts the noodles SO MUCH BETTER. Overall I think this is a great machine for the price point.

Great starter machine

A Christmas gift for my mom, I didn't want something that would take up too much room in her cabinet and this was perfect! Didn't give five stars because the handle doesn't lock in place and fell out a couple times.

Small but Effective

This thing is a piece of hardware! Seems very stable and well made like it will last a lifetime. It comes with a cleaning brush and even a pasta recipe which is unexpected and nice. My only qualm is the handle seems a little wobbly.
